Top 5 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Personal Assistant

Maybe you’ve considered it, maybe you never have. Hiring a virtual personal assistant isn’t exactly something you hear about every day, and it’s probably not something many of your friends and co-workers are doing. Hiring an assistant requires some work and it costs some money. This type of commitment can be daunting to anyone. Not only that, but hiring an assistant requires a shift in mindset: one has to change from a solo operator, an individual agent, to a boss, a manager. This is not something everyone is comfortable with. However, the advantages of hiring a personal assistant are overwhelming. Here are the top five reasons to hire a virtual assistant.
1. Hiring an assistant will free up your time. When you have an assistant, you will notice yourself starting to ask this question: “Could my assistant do this?” And you’ll be surprised to find out that for very much of the work you do day to day, the answer is “Yes!” So you’ll show your assistant how to do the task, and your assistant will do it. From that point on, when the task needs to be done, all you have to do is email or call your assistant and pass on the instructions. After a month of this you’ll wonder how you ever did without it.
2. Hiring an assistant will allow you to get more work done. With more man-hours to work with, it only makes sense, right? Not only will you get to all those tasks that have been sitting on your to-do list for months, but you’ll start to notice a subaltern set of tasks that have lived at the periphery of your work environment. These are things that you’ve known you could do to help your business, if you had all the time in the world, but which you know will never make it to the top of your priorities, and so will never be done. Now, with the help of your assistant, they can all get done.
3. Hiring an assistant will allow you to focus on what you want to do. If you’re a small business owner or freelancer, you’re the strategic dynamo that keeps the business alive. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could shed some of the day to day work that ties up your time, so that you could focus more of your energy on the higher-level tasks that are fun and that make you money?
4. Hiring an assistant will allow you to make more money. When you’re producing more work output, and you’re spending more time on your most effective tasks, you’re going to have a bigger, more effective business. A full time assistant salary in the Philippines typically costs $4-600 per month. Do you think you can increase business more than $600 per month with an intelligent, dedicated human being working full-time for you?
5. Hiring an assistant will train you to be a manager. There’s a limit to how much work you personally can perform, but there’s no limit to how much you can delegate. Hiring a virtual personal assistant can be the first step in scaling your business up and teaching you how to manage production, rather than simply producing by yourself. Once you have an assistant working for you, you can focus on transforming your business into an ultimate sales machine.
An important rule in time management is this: do the most impactful thing first. If you’re hammering all the nails, you’re not planning for strategy and growth. Odds are, in the long view, hiring an assistant to work for your business is the most impactful thing you could do right now.

I think this post is brilliant. Well said – I’m totally with you on this topic. The virtual assistant takes the role of the temp and elevates it to the status of entrepreneur. Because the virtual assistant is self-employed, bills only the hours work or by tasks completed, and is dependent on referrals and steady work flow from existing clients, s/he can be the perfect solution for a busy agent. A virtual assistant offers several advantages over a paid employee. When you hire a virtual assistant you get all the benefits of outsourcing – no employee tax and benefits issues, coupled with the loyalty and steadiness of a company employee. If you have found that traditional staffing solutions don’t work for you there may be many reasons. Temps are a transient solution, and they can be expensive. If you need someone only a few hours a day or week, a temp can prove more costly in terms of training than s/he is worth. Most are also looking for full time employment, so as soon as you find someone you like, s/he has left the temp service for greener pastures.

This is a great post. I’m convinced. I will reduce my work load now. Hiring a Virtual assistance means working SMARTER rather than working HARDER.
I am very much happy to read the five reasons of hiring a Virtual Assistant. This is a great information to all workers and employers. Thank you.
very interesting and good to know about it.
Virtual Assistance is a fairly new administrative profession. The professionals are called Virtual Assistants, or VAs. VAs are micro business owners who provide administrative and personal support while working in long-term collaborative relationships with only a handful of terrific clients. Using phone, fax and email, VAs support their clients without having to ever step foot inside the clients’ offices. In my opinion, “Virtual Assistance” isn’t a handy catch-phrase for people working from home. It’s a profession in its own right, and it deserves a definition that separates it from all others. Much in the same way that all brain surgeons are doctors, but not all doctors are brain surgeons, all VAs are virtual workers, but not all virtual workers are VAs. What makes a person a VA isn’t that the services can be performed at a distance from a client, but rather that the services that are being performed are administrative in scale and scope, and are provided with the desire to support the client across the board, not with just one specific function or task, no matter how ongoing that might be.
its good to know the great advantage of having this virtual assistants.
This is the best information that i have got since i started working both in the brick and motor world and on the internet. i am definitely taking this new way of living and working for a test drive.
I am planning on using VAs.
The important question is “reliability”.
And “confidentiability”.
If I am going to use a VA and I have to give her/him access to my website account to do tasks there, how can I know that the VA won’t hack it?
Will the VA help me or damage me?
In reality how “expert” or “specialist” is the VA.
I have known from other VA users that they have been tricked into believing that a VA was an expert and what they got was a mess and even damaged their websites.
Of course, have heard of other VA’s that have over delivered and have done extraordinary jobs.
I have known of a VA user that even doubled the VAs “salary” because he helped the website tripled income.
One could get a hint of VAs capacities by the feedback left by buyers, but if the VA is a new to an offer, one has to take the risk.
Every VA expert started being a newbie.
Sincerely,
Antonios
